UK government urged to tackle flood risk insurance issues
The UK government has been urged to take action "sooner rather than later" to tackle flood risks.
JLT's European real estate partner, Bill Gloyn, warned that some homes are in danger of becoming uninsurable.
The Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) has previously hinted it may subsidise property premiums in threatened areas yet a final decision is yet to be made.
And, speaking at the Annual Conference of the Association of Insurance and Risk Managers in Industry and Commerce, Mr Gloyn called for an end to the uncertainty.
