Bluefin's Reid hits back at Hiscox’s impartiality comment

Stuart Reid, chief executive officer of Bluefin, has hit back at Hiscox for questioning the broker’s impartiality when cancelling its agency agreement.

Ross Dingwall, sales director at Hiscox, told Insurance Age that the provider was concerned about Bluefin's "apparent lack of independence" and that there seemed "to be a lack of impartiality between Bluefin and their parent company."

Mr Reid responded: "We obviously refute totally any allegation that we do not retain our independence. We currently have 359 agencies compared to 360 before Hiscox made their decision.
