Regional brokers win business because of service, says study

Just under half of commercial insurance clients prefer to work with regional brokers, according to findings from Pearlfinders Risk Index.

The research found that when it came to buying insurance 42.1% of the 2,500 decision makers questioned said they would opt for a regional broker.

These firms were then asked why they would choose to use a regional broker and 40% said it was because of service levels. Just under a third (30%) said the decision came down to the broker being a specialist provider while 18% said it was due to location.
