Aviva to invest in brokers as part of financing roll out

Aviva Group is launching financial backing packages for brokers, including providing firepower to buy competitors in a move that mirrors a similar offering by Intact, Insurance Age can reveal.

It is understood that Aviva taking minority equity stakes is part of the range of potential options that could include loans, advanced commission payments and combined funding structures.

Aviva is known to have soft launched the service already and is currently in conversation with a number of broking firms. It is believed these discussions are designed to create bespoke arrangements for brokers to opt into depending on their circumstances.
