RSA relaunches into legal indemnity market

RSA has announced a strategic partnership with independent broker Litigation Protection to focus on legal indemnity with solicitors and licensed conveyancers as it seeks “a dominant position in the market”.

The insurer confirmed it will underwrite a range of legal indemnity insurance products including providing delegated authority to solicitor firms on 19 products for residential, agricultural and commercial properties with cover of up to £3m.

According to RSA, Litigation Protection first introduced legal expenses insurance to solicitors in 1992 and has also provided special risks insurance, together with facilities for professional indemnity insurance and third-party funding of commercial
