Only 5% of companies have adequate product recall cover, warns Cunningham Lindsey
Loss adjuster Cunningham Lindsey has announced a ten-fold increase in the number of product recall claims it has handled in the past year and warned that most companies do not have adequate cover in place.
Head of product recall services at Cunningham Lindsey, Andrew Robinson, said: "Our research suggests that as few as 5% of companies have adequate product recall cover in place and our new Product Recall Service is designed to help uninsured clients manage incidents. As expected, it has been particularly popular in sectors where product recall incidents are most common, such as those supplying food, toys and electrical products to the consumer market."
