Data hub launch discloses new pricing detail to non-direct market

Coversure and Fortis are among those that have committed to using a new data hub that aims to allow brokers to compete on a level playing field with direct writers.

Insurance Initiatives, which was set up by three ex-Experian employees Peter Lacey, Mark Crane and Simon James, has signed up four insurers and three brokers to use its IQ system, which offers consumer, vehicle and claims data in a single enquiry.

The company has also announced the appointment of ex SSP employee Mark Woronowski and Lawrence Caley, formerly of Aviva.
