Halliwells files second notice to avoid administration
Halliwells has filed a second notice of intention to appoint an administrator in an effort to extend discussions on the sale of the firm without entering into administration.
The firm filed its first notice of intention to appoint an administrator last month (24 June) and has been working with accountants BDO to consider its options in attempt to avoid entering a lengthy period of administration.
A statement from Halliwells said: "Halliwells continues to make good progress with its discussions for the transfer of the business to a number of other highly regarded firms of solicitors. In light of this, Halliwells has been advised to file a second notice of intention to
