Bank 'supertax' could impact brokers, warns Mazars
Pre-budget report proposal to slash discretionary bank bonuses by 50% could hit intermediaries, according to accountancy firm Mazars
Accountancy firm Mazars is concerned that the bank 'supertax' could be applied to insurance brokers and Lloyd's managing agents.
The firm said it has expressed concern to HM Revenue and Customs on behalf of its clients in the insurance industry regarding the draft legislation for the 50% bank payroll tax that will hit discretionary bonuses awarded between 9 December and 5 April 2010.
