GISC and IIB brokers given due credit by FSA

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has finally decided that members in good standing of the General Insurance Standards Council and the Institute of Insurance Broker Registration Council will receive due credit in the FSA authorisation process.

The move had been much anticipated but has only finally been confirmed today.

Sarah Wilson, director of the FSA's high sreet firms division, has now said that applications from members in good standing with the GISC and the IBRC will receive a level of scrutiny which reflects the standards set by them.
