Woodstock completes Jack Dent deal
Woodstock Insurance Brokers has confirmed the acquisition of the general insurance business of Jack Dent Insurance Associates.
"The purchase is effective from 1 January 2004 so we believe this is the very first deal of 2004 anywhere in the market", said Tony Simper, managing director of Woodstock.The book brings just under £1m of premium to Woodstock, and represents deal number 9 in 22 months for the Kent-based broker.
Jack Dent Insurance Associates was based in Peckham, south London, and has been trading mainly in personal lines insurance, since 1965.
