After several years of losses, the UK private motor insurance market has finally returned to profit, according to a new research paper by Millman UK, called Driving for Profit: Review 2003. However, the report states there are signs of falling prices, which could end this period of relative prosperity if not addressed. The findings were based on a study of insurers' financial returns to the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and its predecessor regulatory bodies.
