Both car and home insurance premiums appear to be rising, according to the AA's latest benchmark British Premium Index. The AA's quarterly Index shows the average premium quoted for comprehensive car insurance rose over the past three months by just over 1% to £765.46. Those with third party, fire and theft insurance are being quoted an average of £937.13 - an increase of more than 2%. Premium quotations for buildings have gone up by just over 1% to £205.17.
