Axa has pledged to transact every non specialist household and motor policy with brokers on EDI by the end of the year.
Thus far the push, costing £750,000, has seen EDI levels in household reach 40% from just 3% last year. Although Axa clearly has a long way to go to meet its objective, Des O'Connor, trade marketing manager, said the EDI push would put the insurer ahead of its competitors.
