GHL's Steve Tidd resigns

The board of directors of GHL Europe has announced that Steve Tidd has resigned from his role as chief executive of GHL Europe and Zenith Insurance.

Mr Tidd will continue to operate in the capacity of chief executive until July 31, 2008.

Peter Ganteaume, ceo of Guardian Holdings Group, expressed the appreciation of the parent board for Mr Tidd’s outstanding service to the group in establishing a sound business presence in Europe during a period of considerable adversity.

GHL said an announcement on Mr Tidd’s successor would be made in the near future.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
