Chubb Insurance expands motor cover into Ireland

Chubb Insurance Company of Europe has expanded its motor insurance cover into The Republic of Ireland, launching its unique Masterpiece Motor Policy. Chubb has offered specialist home and travel cover in the Republic of Ireland since 1998, but has now extended this to include the Masterpiece Motor policy.

Masterpiece Motor is aimed at cars which have, or had, a new value of over €60,000, and is particularly attractive for those with more than one car. Recent statistics released in Ireland showed a third of the 7,000 households surveyed had two or more cars. With over 10,000 new luxury cars (e.g. BMW, Mercedes and Jaguar) sold in Ireland since the start of 2007, demand for this specialist policy is predicted to be strong. A major benefit is the ability to combine the home and motor cover on one
