Towergate annual results reveal £2.1bn GWP

The Towergate Family – including TPL, Broker Network, Paymentshield and Open International – has reported total sales (gross written premium) of £2.1bn, income of £394m and EBITDA of £166m on a pro forma basis for the 12 months leading to 31 December 2007.

The company, which employs 4 500 people across its various arms, made 16 acquisitions last year. It now says it plans to consolidate its main related companies, Paymentshield and Open International, into its wider partnership.

Executive chairman Peter Cullum, said: “The excellent progress we made in the last year is reflected in the quality of our products, distribution and extended geographical reach.

"Looking to the future, we remain focused on continuing the ambitious growth of Towergate

Brokers upbeat on 2024 growth – Aviva

Brokers are more optimistic about growth in the coming year than they have been since before 2020, according to Aviva, with 83% expecting their business to grow compared to 76% last year.
