Latest findings from the Axa Business Crime Index

The latest findings from the Axa Business Crime Index have revealed a huge increase in the number of crimes committed against businesses. According to the index the frequency of crime related insurance claims settlements in the second quarter of 2004 increased by 19.3% compared to the previous quarter. However, despite the increase in general levels of crime, the index shows a 4% reduction in the collective costs of crime in the previous quarter. The average cost per settlement is now only £3
