Brokers worry their reputations are on the line as SSP outage hits hard

On 26 August software house SSP experienced an “outage” at its data centre in Solihull. Since then brokers on the SSP Pure platform have suffered. Many were unable to work properly for weeks as the software specialists struggled and repeatedly failed to fix its problems.

Brokers say they have lost out financially due to the downtime when the system either did not work at all or only had limited functionality. Lenny Kerkhove, general insurance adviser at West Sussex-headquartered broker Warwick
