Equity waives 'Act of God' policy for stranded volcano travellers

Equity Red Star has issued the following statement for passengers regarding disruption from the volcanic ash cloud:

"Equity Red Star's travel insurance does not exclude cover following volcanic ash disruption.

Equity Red Star has today confirmed that although volcanic eruptions are not usually covered under travel insurance policies, due to their being outside an insurer's control (often referred to as 'Acts of God'), it will on this particular occasion, refer to the Iceland volcano as 'adverse

ALA expands range with pothole insurance
