Allianz Cornhill Engineering has announced plans to increase the size of its specialist underwriting team by another three, bringing the total to 16 by the start of 2005.
The insurer claims it is bucking the market trend that has seen the number of specialist engineering underwriters reduce dramatically in recent years, with engineering underwriting often being incorporated into property and casualty teams.
