Towergate Underwriting Group's Folgate Partnership is acquiring anetwork of regional brokers.
Leeds-based Smithson Mason Group is the first to be bought up, with three
other large acquisitions to be announced in the coming weeks. The
acquisitions are the first in an 18-month acquisition spree, in which
Towergate will buy 50 brokers. Towergate is also targeting smaller
regional brokers arranged around their larger counterparts.
