Xbroker, which provides schemes such as goods in transit, contractors and consultant liability, is the portal most widely used by brokers to trade with insurers, according to parent company Caerphilly-based Moorhouse Group.

Xbroker serves 3800 brokers through as many agencies and 2200 place business each month. Xbroker expects to add a further 600 broker agencies by August 2008. Xbroker has £14m of gross written premium placed with eight insurers.

According to the group's chairman Lyndon Wood
