CGNU has announced that Richard Harvey, currently deputy group chief executive, will become group chief executive on 24 April 2001.
Mr Harvey will succeed Bob Scott who will retire from the board at the Annual General Meeting in April. The planned succession is in line with the statement made on 21 February 2000, when the CGU and Norwich Union boards announced their merger.
Mike Bigg's, CGNU's group executive director with reponsibility for UK general insurance, will be group finance director
