Northern Star's managing director, Les Jackson, has quit the company
along with its marketing manager, Graham Deacon, and administration
manager Mike Vans Sloot. The departures follow the takeover of the
Gloucester-based insurer by Fortis-owned Bishopsgate.


In total, 15 managers have left, or are in the process of leaving,
Northern Star. A further 25 branch and field employees are being made
redundant as a result of the closure of Northern Star's Manchester and
Croydon branches, and another 45 at
