The leader of the pack

Networks are becoming a popular way to do business, with several new contenders to the market. Mark Radburn, managing director of the Willis Commercial Network, tells Diane Smyth why he believes there is plenty of room for a few extra in the market.

Mark Radburn, who took over as managing director of the Willis
Commercial Network in June 2002, has spent his whole career in the
insurance industry.


Not only that, he proudly states: "I have always been a broker, never an
insurer."


Mr Radburn says he was the natural choice to take over the network when
chairman Hugh Warren left to set up another Willis network in the US.


Mr Radburn has worked for Willis since 1992 and his work on the network
predates its 1998 launch.
