Lloyd's syndicate Chaucer Insurance, formerly known as Ibex Motor
Policies, aims to more than double its 1300-strong broker base in the next
12 months.

Chaucer Insurance, part of the Chaucer group, sells almost exclusively
through brokers. Motor polices currently account for 95% of its business,
but the company diversified into mid net worth home contents insurance in
January. The company intends to expand these books and move into other
profitable areas of non-motor personal lines insurance.
