Howden names Richardson to new CCO role

Elliot Richardson

Howden has appointed Elliot Richardson as chief commercial officer for the group, a newly created role at the broker.

Richardson came on board in 2015 as part of the RK Harrison takeover.

He brings 38 years of experience to the job, including as chair of Howden Re, a post he took up in July last year and is keeping.

Richardson, pictured, steps up with immediate effect and will report to CEO David Howden. He also joins the group executive committee.

Howden Markets, which leads the group’s relationships with its global carrier partners, together with group placement, will report into Richardson.
