Aviva to cut 85 jobs in Leicester and London

The insurer will also close its Cambridge office at the end of the year.

Aviva is to cut 85 jobs from its commercial underwriting teams as a result of an increased focus on digital solutions.

Most of the job losses will impact its Leicester office, where 82 roles will be cut. An additional three jobs will be cut from its combined London and Croydon office.

In addition, the insurer's office in Cambridge will close at the end of this year, when the lease expires on the premises.

A spokesperson from Aviva said this move would not impact on any roles as the Cambridge
