No uptick until 2017 expected for Brightside

Cliff confident of future success despite falling numbers for Brightside as he hails transformation plan.

Brightside will not see an uptick in its fortunes until 2017 as it seeks to transform the business and build profits.

Executive chairman Mark Cliff admitted that conditions had been "tough" and said growth across the business would not be seen until after next year.

Its 2015 results showed that revenue fell 15% to £59.4m (2014: £69.5m).

Ebitda also dropped to £7m (2014: £9.2m) while the number of policies sold by the broker reduced by 50,000 to "over 250,000".
