KPMG poll highlights "apathy" towards driverless cars

Insurers and brokers lack of interest is because they believe that they have ample time to prepare their business before the technology becomes mainstream.

KPMG have called on insurers and brokers to act now and embrace new technology after it found only 10 percent of executives were getting ready for the impending arrival of driverless cars.

Its report The autonomous vehicle insurer: driving change in UK insurance polled 18 leaders in the UK insurance and broker companies and found that most of them believe it would take up to 20 years before driverless vehicles become mainstream.
