FCA spent £1.17m on foreign travel in 2014

Total travel costs at regulator hit £1.93m.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) spent £1.93m on travel in the UK and abroad last year according to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests made by Insurance Age.

An FOI request seeking costs invoiced directly to the FCA for trips abroad in 2014 revealed that the watchdog spent £1.04m.

A further £584,302 was invoiced to the regulator for UK travel during the year.

The figures followed on from a previous FOI to the regulator about expenses by Insurance Age in April.

At that time the FCA
