Axa reports 94.6% commercial COR
Provider’s commercial revenues top £1bn in 2014.
Axa UK and Ireland has revealed that commercial business now exceeds £1bn of gross written premium with a current year combined ratio of 94.6% for the UK.
The figures came as it reported a 3% rise in general insurance revenues to £3.8bn for 2014.
The breakdown of the rise put commercial lines growth at 8%, UK direct motor also delivered an 8% rise while healthcare was up 5%.
The overall combined operating ratio for the UK and Ireland combined region improved to 97.1% (2013: 98.9%).
