Aon’s revenue hits £1.7bn in Q2 2014

International business revenue up slightly over first half of the year

Aon reported revenue growth of 1% for the three months ended 30 June 2014.

Revenue reached £1.7bn ($2.9bn) compared to $2.8bn for the same period in 2013. It also reported an increase in operating income which grew from $382m to $445m. Aon said the 1% increase was driven by 2% of organic growth.

Results over six months showed similar growth with revenue hitting $5.86bn. Equivalent results for the same six months in 2013 saw revenues of $5.81bn reported.

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin

Aviva is committed to pushing on with an “absolute focus on customer” and will continue “doubling down”, David Martin, managing director for UK commercial and chief distribution officer, told Insurance Age as he teased a “major new proposition” pencilled in for the end of the third quarter will catch brokers’ eyes.
