Towergate in "advanced discussions" to buy Footman James

Towergate describes potential acquisition as "central" to its growth strategy.

Towergate has confirmed it is in "advanced discussions" with Aon to buy classic car and motorcycle broker Footman James.

A Towergate spokesperson stated: "Towergate confirms that it is in advanced discussions with Aon regarding the potential acquisition of Footman James, the market leading specialist motor platform.

"Acquiring and integrating good quality businesses is central to our growth strategy. A further announcement will be made as appropriate."
