Business turnover on the rise
Business turnover in Q3 of this year reached the highest level in almost three years, when the first signs of the banking crisis began to emerge, according to the latest Business Factors Index from Bibby Financial Services.
In Q3 2010, the Index, which tracks the quarterly performance of business turnover among Bibby Financial Services’ 3,000-strong UK client base, reached the highest level since Q4 2007, with an overall reading of 100.6. This demonstrates an 11.4% increase when compared with the same point a year ago.
All sectors saw a year-on-year improvement in turnover, with growth most significant in the manufacturing sector where the Index reached 121.2 in September, compared with 110.3 at the same point a
