Contractual challenge.

The proposed Contracts Bill will have repercussions throughout the insurance industry. Some sectors, such as construction, are set to benefit, say Charlotte Capstick and David Wilkinson.

Privity of contract is a long established principle under English
law. It provides that only parties to a contract can sue or be sued under
that contract. This is all about to change and proposed legislation
currently awaiting Royal Assent will bring our contract law more in line
with our European neighbours.
