The debate on broker transparency looks set to rumble on, despite the Financial Services Authority's (FSA) decision not to mandate commission disclosure.

In March last year, the FSA commissioned CRA International to conduct a forensic market failure and cost benefit analysis into whether commission disclosure should be made mandatory. The results found that the benefits from mandating disclosure alone would not equal, or surpass, the costs.
