Imarket has had a colourful past, facing criticism from brokers and contributing insurers alike, but has there been a turnaround of opinion? Sarah Hills discovers how imarket is fast gaining ground by implementing the processes the industry has been waiting for

The often slow nature of imarket's development has, until recently, drawn criticism from brokers and frustrated contributing insurers, while the initiative itself has always maintained its effectiveness and importance for commercial trading.

Imarket set out to deliver two propositions for commercial insurance brokers. First, it aimed to provide a virtual one-stop shop, offering online products and services from all major insurers. The initiative also wanted to create an integrated trading system
