Moving with the times: Coversure’s managing director Bob Darling tells Insurance Age that his focus has changed from increasing office numbers and why the future is bright for the franchise model

When Bob Darling joined Coversure in 2009 along with current group underwriting director Kevin Sinclair, the strategy for the business was clear – to grow its branch footprint to between 180 and 200 locations. However, its current number of offices is 94, fewer than the 98 it had reached in 2014 and only eight more than it had in 2009.
