Staggering amount of merger and acqusition activity

Even with the staggering amount of merger and acquisition activity currently taking place across the broker market, who could have predicted that three brokers would all be sold in the space of one short afternoon? Only a month ago, I was writing about the sale of Endsleigh to Zurich as well as Carole Nash to Groupama, who had both joined the 'let's buy a broker' club after Allianz Cornhill acquired Home and Legacy and IAG bought Hastings in 2006.
