I noticed at the British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) conference that there was a shift in the age of attendees. The old guard has started to move aside. Mind you, younger in insurance terms is 40 or under. This is great news and perhaps marks a sea change for the good in the age profile of the industry.

Staff from insurers and suppliers seemed younger and it would appear that at last they are being given their chance to make a mark on a bigger stage. Biba helps here with their worthy

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
