LV ponders pulling out of broker personal lines home insurance

Insurer consulting with staff over impact on jobs.

LV is planning to stop writing new business and inviting renewals for its broker-distributed personal lines home insurance products.

The provider confirmed that it had launched a consultation with affected staff but declined to say how many would be impacted.

It stressed that the consultation does not affect personal motor or commercial lines business and that home policies would still be sold directly.
