Fisher focuses on the future at CII

New CII chief says MGAs are on the rise and calls for more brokers to gain chartered status..

Sian Fisher, the newly-arrived Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) chief executive, has called for more brokers to gain chartered status.

Speaking to Insurance Age in her first week in the role, Fisher also said that she is seeing an increase in the number of managing general agents (MGAs) as the number of UK brokers decreases.

Praising former incumbent Sandy Scott's legacy, Fisher did note there were some "gaps" where the CII could do more.
