FCA could stop firms using premium rate numbers

Regulator is considering changes to the rules on complaint handling and post-sale calls.

Financial services firms may no longer be able to use premium rate telephone numbers for customers following proposals put forward by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

The regulator is considering changes to the rules on complaint handling and post-sale telephone calls following a review, and the measures are now open to consultation.
