CDL predicts more "healthy" growth as staff count heads towards 500

Software house CDL reported growth in turnover for the financial year 2013/14 to £34m compared to £30m in 2013/13.

Managing director Gary Johnson told Insurance Age that the business had "grown steadily" since it was established in 1984.

He revealed that 82% of its revenue is from recurring business and said soon, the firm which now has 475 staff, would break the 500-staff barrier.

He commented: "We are seeing healthy activity and there seems to be a lot of investment and growth opportunity."

ABI records 3% home premiums rise in Q1

Average home insurance premiums for buildings and contents cover rose by 3% to £375 in the first quarter of this year, pushing the year-on-year rise up to 19%, according to the Association of British Insurers.
