ABI welcomes fraud task force

Government proposals to tackle insurance fraud welcomed by industry.

The Association of British Insurers (ABI) has welcomed government plans to develop a fraud task force to attack false insurance claims.

Sister publication Post reported that Justice Secretary, Chris Grayling announced at the ABI motor conference that a team would be set up to see if the law could be strengthened to prevent fraud, assess what can be done about the perception that insurance fraud is fair game, and identify the practices that fail to deter claims fraud.
