Allianz extends branch network

Central and East region created by insurer as part of investment into branch network.

Allianz has announced the creation of the company's eighth trading region in the UK - Central and East - as part of its ongoing investment into its branch network, Insurance Age can reveal.

The new Central and East region, which is effective from 1 January 2015, will be formed of Allianz's existing Luton and Chelmsford operations, while its London branch will continue to operate under the existing London region.

A spokesman confirmed that it will not affect staff and no jobs will be lost. London
