Murphy joins Apricot from Hughes

New recruit to be branch manager.

Apricot Insurance has appointed Elaine Murphy as branch manager in Belfast.

She joins from Hughes Insurance, and according to her new firm - one of Northern Ireland's newest independent brokers - Murphy will lead the company's personal lines development.

The broker currently offers car, home, van and landlord insurance.

ALA expands range with pothole insurance

Yorkshire-based GAP insurance provider ALA Insurance has expanded its product offering with the launch of a specialist pothole insurance policy, in a move it claimed targets one of the “more persistent and costly problems facing UK motorists”.
