Record number of fraud reports from public to IFB
Insurance Fraud Bureau sees 32% increase in contact from public.
In 2013, more people than ever alerted the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB) about possible insurance frauds, the organisation has confirmed.
During the 12 months the IFB received 6,606 reports across its Cheatline and Crimestoppers, a rise of 32% on the previous high of the year before.
The level of calls equates to one report every 90 minutes.
